Best Garden Office

How to buy the best garden room – Which?

We think we provide the best garden office in the UK, but then we would, wouldn’t we! We’ve spent over 24 years arriving at the products and service that we supply…

So I asked some of our customers why they spent their hard earned cash on a Booths Garden Studio…

Video 1:

Hi Booths, I am Darren and this…is my garden room.

Let’s go and have a look. (hums happily)

Oooo. It’s a very nice right, it’s a very nice.

As you can see, we’ve got loads and loads of space. Absolutely loads, ooops, air conditioning unit, (Darren points) heater.

Got a bed.

All I can say is massive thank you Booths, it’s brilliant, there’s so much space, it’s well well put together.

The guys that come and fitted it were absolutely awesome, you couldn’t ask for a better team.

This was money, well, well spent.

So I recommend everybody go check out their website, go checkout the products, and there is no affiliate links, it’s just from here (Darren pats his heart:)

Thanks Booths:-)

Iain here…Darren and his wife were looking at a house extension because they had family occasionally visit them but it was going to take months to complete and cost a fortune. So they plumped for a 16′ x 8′ QCB garden office and as you can see, they are extremely happy with it. Many thanks to Darren for his kind words and selfie video:)

Video 2: “I wish I’d done it years earlier, and I cannot recommend more highly one of these Booths Garden Studios, I really can’t”…Gurinder Chadha OBE.

Video 2:

Iain says…I’m here with Alex and a very special guest.

Gurinder says…Hi, I’m Gurinder Chadha, film director.

I got in touch with Alex and Robert and said, I really need a space to write my scripts. And I have a roof garden, and I live in a protected area, where I’m not really allowed to build. And after much tooing and froing, I was able to get one of your wonderful cabins. But because of planning permission it couldn’t be as high as they normally are, as you know, cause we couldn’t go very much above this.

So it’s 2 metres as opposed to 2.5 but it’s been an absolute amazing space. (Iain: Ah fantastic.) And I come in here, shut myself away from everybody, and, I sit here. I’ve got a sofa bed here, (laughs) I’ve got AC, and I sit here and write. And it’s beautiful especially at night. It’s very quiet out here, and I can just hide away and get busy with work. And then when I’m tired, of working, I can lie down, put on Netflix, and watch a movie, in nice cool (laughs) AC.

So it’s been an amazing thing for me and working from home, definitely. (Iain: So it has worked:)

And one of the things I really liked about it was that it came in pieces, so the guys were able to bring it up in pieces, so it was all put together in a day, but it has a 25 year warranty, which is amazing, you know.

And I’ve been working here in the cold of winter, and then the heat of summer, and it always feels very safe and secure and solid. And I wish I’d done it years earlier, and I cannot recommend more highly one of these Booths Garden Studios, I really can’t.

Iain here…Gurinder explained to Alex and I that she and her writing partner, Paul, were just back from the USA where they had been signing a contract with Disney to produce their next film about an Indian Princess – a script written in their insulated QCB garden office. So look out for that:)

Also, if you don’t know Gurinders work, do yourself a favour and watch these films:

and Blinded By The Light

– both excellent movies:)

Gurinder is very prolific so you can see a full list of their work here…

Many thanks to Gurinder and Paul for the cups of tea and their time:)

Video 3: Jacqui Saunders 33′ x 12′ QC6 garden studio used for craft work.

(Please note that the maximum QC6 garden room we install now is 27′ x 12′ or 21′ x 15′ internal size)

“I couldn’t be more happy with the aftercare service, it’s just been so nice, they’re just such a lovely company just wholesome, honest, it’s great, really really love it, and my studio is just my favourite thing, ever ever ever, so thank you very much guys”…

Video 3: Jacqui says…Welcome to Walnut Studio.

So this studio is 33 feet by 12 which is gigantic, I don’t think they make them this big anymore (27 feet by 12 feet and 21 feet by 15 feet are the largest now.)

I use it for craft, I’ve got a lot of crafts and they all need a lot of stuff.

I also use it to hide from people, just to hang out and have my friends round – such a lovely space.

So I have the kitchen module which is perfect, obviously stuffed full of craft things.

And, more crafts, more crafts, and the little cloakroom here, which this is just so sweet and nice, just lovely.

And then they built me this fantastic gigantic cupboard. Look at all the stuff I can get in here. Wooo, and signed by all the gang who built her for me.

Here we go, Wreck It Ralph, the Great Gazmundo, what a lovely team, it was just such good fun having them here, so they had to bring the whole thing through the house with a cream carpet and they were so respectful it was, such a good gang, such a nice vibe, really, just fun having them here.

So here’s my second room which I use for storage and sewing and I can also tidy it up and use it to teach Reiki, which I have done, it’s been perfect.

So air conditioning unit in here as well so in the summer when it’s been too hot and the family want to come and sleep in a nice cool room, so I’ve used it for that as well, it’s been really good.

The things I love about my studio, I like the fact that the blinds come in their little runners, so smart, look how smart that looks gorgeous. And the floors really nice, so I make a lot of mess with crafts and it’s always just come up beautifully afterwards amazing.

And I like the plug sockets in the floor, very handy.

I like the drawers underneath the kitchen units making the most of every little bit of space.

The main thing I like is that, there’s no maintenance because I knew that that wasn’t a thing that I would ever enjoy, and when I was thinking of having a craft room, the thought of having like a converted shed, I knew that I just wouldn’t use it when the weather turned and it got cold, so I went for this, big style and I absolutely love it.

So I’ve had it four years now and three things have happened to it.

The first thing was I was mowing and shot a stone into the glass and broke one of the doors and they sorted it out instantly.

And the next thing after a year or two, the it obviously settled a little bit, and one of the doors wasn’t opening properly so they came and sorted that out instantly.

And then this year with the drought, there was a water leak outside where the ground had shrunk away and caused a leak, and they came and sorted that out instantly as well so I couldn’t be more happy with the aftercare service, it’s just been so nice, they’re just such a lovely company just wholesome, honest, it’s great, really really love it, and my studio is just my favourite thing, ever ever ever, so thank you very much guys.

Iain here…big thanks to Jacqui for giving us a lovely tour around her garden room and describing her experience with Booths…we don’t get everything perfect but that is our goal, that is our constant aim – to keep customers super happy with their investment.

Like all our garden rooms and garden offices, large or small, Jacquies is completely portable so if she ever wanted to move it, she can – it remains her asset.

Alex still talks about the first garden room he built back in 1999, and his frustration that he couldn’t take it with him when he moved house, hence his insistence that every garden office, garden room or garden annexe we supply, is portable, even if it includes kitchens and bathrooms. None of our competitors garden offices are portable, and you might think that’s not important…until it is.

“It’s the perfect space for me.”

Ingrids Garden Art Studio…

Video 4: Hi, I’m Ingrid.

I bought a Booths Garden Studio. I have a 16′ x 8′ QCB. Fit’s nicely in the garden, I don’t really have a big garden.

So, I’ll just take a quick look. Perfect:)

So when they fetched the kit they put it up, one minute it was not there, and next minute I have a studio!

It was really exciting:-)

Soundproof, weatherproof, so no maintenance required.

Excellent! Everything I want, there’s loads of sockets so you can plug everything in. This is an actual working studio.

I’m an artist and I can’t think of anything better, and they wired it up, so one minute they put it up, plugged it in, and off I went.

I don’t like plain walls as you can see:-)

So I just decorated it however I wanted, and it’s the perfect space for me.

Iain here…Many thanks to Ingrid for her comments about her art studio – she’s obviously very happy.

The 16′ x 8′ size she has is our biggest selling size probably due how well it fits into most gardens and the value for money of this size.

Video 5:

Craig says…“It’s probably the best investment I’ve made”…

Video 5:

Hi, I have a 24 x 9 foot Booths Studio which I use as a gym in one section and a TV area for the kids.

And a desk area for me in the other section.

I absolutely love it.

And it’s probably the best investment I’ve made.

Iain here…Craig used the electrical company we recommend, who happens to be Alexs twin brothers company run by Rob Booth:-)

So the way we normally plan our schedule is to install your studio one week, and then Rob or one of his guys, will install the armoured mains cable the following week.

There’s two reasons we do it like this…

The first is that the weather can affect exactly when a studio is installed, so if the electrics were booked in at the same time, the weather would mess up their schedule as well as ours.

The second reason is that Rob and his team are able to check for any minor snags, say like a door adjustment, after the studio has settled for a few days.

Robs installation includes checking the safety of all the electrics and issuing a Part P certificate, which is a legal requirement these days.

Most of our customers use Rob’s company as it is more convenient.

He also install the air conditioning units in the garden offices as they are a heater in the winter, and a cooler in the summer, giving the perfect working environment all year round.

Big thanks to Craig!

Helen says…“The quality of the products was amazing…”

Video 6:

Helen says…

“We chose Booths for our garden studio because we went to visit their site, and they were really friendly, it’s a family run business.

The quality of the products was amazing and it just seemed like we were gonna get a really good product at the end of the day, and we definitely weren’t wrong.

So they came to install it, it took less than a day to get it up in our garden.

And then the electrician came round a few days later to get the electrics set up as well, and it is….brilliant!

We’re really pleased with the final product:)

You can see it behind me.

We’re currently using it as a gym. It’s got lights on inside, it’s got fitted blinds. It’s got windows that open as well to let the air in as well.

And all in all, just really pleased with it, really great space, and a really great addition to our garden as well so thank you Booths:).

Iain here…big thanks to Helen and Sam for their fantastic feedback:)

Hi Iain,

Thank you so much for arranging the replacement pillar.
Your guy fixed this today and the garden room is looking like new again.
He also noticed that the door had dropped, so he fixed this as well.

Once again, Booths have gone above and beyond.

Many thanks to you and your team.

Kind regards

Barbara
